Never Forgotten Legacy Urn Cross NecklaceUpdated 8 days ago

Welcome to our guide for the Never Forgotten Legacy Urn Cross Necklace. This article will walk you through how to wear and care for it, and step-by-step instructions on utilizing the built-in memorial urn chamber.

How to Wear Your Necklace

  • Securing the Clasp: The necklace is equipped with a classic lobster clasp. Press the small lever down to open the clasp, secure it to the link at the opposite end of the chain, and release to lock.
  • Fit & Sizing: The necklace comes with a 24-inch anodized black stainless steel chain, designed to fall comfortably flat against the chest on most adults.

How to Open, Fill, and Close the Urn Compartment

Your necklace contains a small, completely concealed chamber at the base designed to securely hold a symbolic keepsake—such as a small portion of ashes or sacred soil. Every order includes a dedicated Urn Filler Kit containing:

  • Mini Screwdriver (to safely unscrew and seal the chamber)
  • Small Funnel (to guide ashes cleanly)
  • Tamping Rod / Pusher Tool (to gently guide contents)

Step-by-Step Filling Instructions:

  1. Prepare Your Space: Work over a flat, clean surface.
  2. Locate the Urn Screw: Find the discreet screw at the very bottom base of the cross pendant. This screw features a specialized double-protection rubber-seal ring (O-ring) that ensures an airtight and waterproof seal.
  3. Unscrew the Chamber: Use the included mini screwdriver to gently turn the screw counterclockwise until it is free. Set the screw and screwdriver aside in a secure location where they won't roll away.
  4. Insert the Funnel: Place the small funnel into the open hole at the base of the cross.
  5. Add Your Keepsake: Slowly pour a tiny, symbolic amount of ashes or earth into the funnel.
  6. Use the Tamping Rod: Gently slide the pusher/tamping rod down through the funnel to help settle the material into the chamber. Do not apply excessive force.
  7. Seal the Urn: Remove the funnel. Place the screw back into the hole (ensuring the black rubber seal ring is intact and straight). Use the mini screwdriver to turn the screw clockwise until snug. Do not overtighten, as you may strip the thread.

Care & Maintenance Instructions

  • Water Exposure & Wood Care: The built-in chamber itself is waterproof due to the double-protection rubber-seal ring. However, because the front features an organic ebony wood overlay, we strongly recommend removing the necklace before swimming, showering, or bathing. Prolonged water exposure can warp or damage the natural wood elements over time.
  • Cleaning: Gently wipe your necklace with a soft, non-abrasive dry cloth to keep it clean. Avoid using aggressive chemical jewelry cleaners or steam, which could degrade both the anodized black coat and the wood finish.
